QA/QC Welding Inspector

Culham Engineering is looking for a QA/QC Inspector to join our team in Whangarei.

About the Opportunity 

Culham Engineering are looking for a team player, that is an experienced CBIP Certified Welding Inspector. You will monitor overall quality on projects and activities. Work closely with Supervision staff and trades personnel to ensure Quality Management System is being applied. Report regularly on quality issues, non-compliance and effect or remedy repairs to the QA Manager. Request Inspection and Test Plans from Quality Management and review and compile all reports for the Quality Packs (MDR). You will need to be an effective communicator to liaise with clients, Project Consultants and Project Engineers.

What you bring to the role

  • Certified Welding Inspection qualification CBIP or – CSWIP3.1 or IIW
  • Experience in Heavy Engineering fabrication would be an advantage
  • Experience and detailed knowledge of structural and piping/pressure equipment disciplines
  • Familiar with AS/NZ and ASME standards
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
