Bluff Tank Replacement

Culham Engineering have been partners in every major Ballance engineering project since the plant was built forty years.

A special Ballance commission was the construction of a 30m diameter acid tank for the Bluff factory.  We designed and purpose-built special hydraulic transporter tracks to ‘walk’ the tank from the shed to the waiting barge.  The tank was delivered by sea to Bluff, where the custom tracks were again utilised to transport the tank to the installation site.
